Frequent but short blasts inviting shoppers to stop and chat and raise any issues or simply get things off their chest. I’d say we got a pretty good reception. What came up? Care for the elderly. Complaints about the council. Housing grants and why some areas seem to be favoured over others. Immigration and asylum and how the country is changing. Lord Ashcroft. MPs’ expenses and disaffection with all politicians. The new Colne Health Centre. And so it goes on. I get one or two grumpy, angry people. I try to be sweet reason. I address the issue but they are not listening. Others tell me I have been a good MP. When I hear this, the sun shines more brightly. After an hour or so, we pack up the street stall and I leave the Market with my friends. Tags:
