Pendle's Lib Dem Godfather, Baron Tony Greaves, should reveal which parts of the Conservative Manifesto (a) he believes (b) the Conservatives believe, are zany or just plain daft.

The Daily Mail's Tim Shipman reveals today that "Senior Lib Dems told their MPs in private meetings last week that the Tory leader had been keen during coalition negotiations to ditch some of his other policies  -  including his call to repatriate some powers from Brussels."

Shipman went on: "Senior Lib Dem Lord Greaves said: 'Our negotiating team said the Conservatives told them, "There are some things in our manifesto that are daft which we would be delighted if you would veto".'

Of more interest is what the Conservative negotiating team believed was daft.
